Holiness In Your Parish
There are those who wants more Holiness and those who wants more convenience. The fact is all Catholics in good standing, have the right to receive Holy Communion, whether it be stand or kneeling, so your parish will need accommodate both these methods.
Holiness Vs Convenience
In your Parish, there will be those parishioners who will want to more Holiness in Holy Communion and those who want more convenience. So the question must be asked, why do we go and receive Holy Communion? To be in "Holy" Communion or receive Communion in a "convenient" state? Was Jesus dying on the cross for us Convenient for Him? What sort of parish do you want yours to be a "Holy" one or a "convenient" one?
A Question of Inconvenience?
In one point in time, some parishioners will say Holy Communion would be too inconvenient, too much delay. Well the did the Church do thousands of years before when Holy Communion was only received kneeling and on the tongue? They made it work and made it Holy.
The Parish Priest role is to sever its parishioners. If parishioners wish to receive holy communion, while kneeling and on the tongue, action must be made to accommodate this. I.E. one possible solution is to have an additional mass for this.
Parish Holiness
We ask you; if there is holiness on this earth, where might you find this? Would it not be in your parish church, at Mass?
If you don't feel that it is holy, would you not ask why? Do you kneel and receive Holy Communion on the tongue, do others?
If there is to be true Holy in the Mass, in the Church, Holy Communion is the first place to start. That's where God is right in front of you.
